Cooking is always my primary interest..currently I’m inspired by few cooking websites n some others’ personal blog..I wish I could have my own cooking blog (wif some photo’s of my cooking) and share with other people who are passioned about cooking like me I really love to cook, especially for my family  and my fiance. My fiance is mad about my cooking, he says "i can eat ur dishes until mangkuk pun tertonggeng" hahaha..i’m pleased with his comments and constructive suggestions to improve my cooking..Living alone here in Canberra gives me room to try as much recipe as I can since I have plenty of time to cook. One ultimate drawback of this situation is, there is always left-over food in my fridge (i can’t finish all the food at one go)..uhmmm….what a waste…isn’t it?

The pictures on the right hand side is my today’s lunch (taken by using my phone’s camera). Just a simple bolognese spaghetti with ice tea. This is my favourite dishes during my lazy time since the preparation for this dishes only takes me less than 20 minutes =D

The photo below is alfredo pasta with marinated fried chicken and some stim veges..maybe i should take the photo using my digicam instead of using phone’s camera..wut do u think?

My current passion is to investigate the properties of MVE NS1-NS2A protein focusing on the cleavage efficiency at the authentic NS1-NS2A cleavage site, functional motifs of viral producing the NS1′ [especially in the encephalitic inducing group], the mechanism and involvement of viral-host proteolytic enzyme and the effect of NS1-NS2A mutations on virus viability, growth and virulence property…uhmm..passion about this mysterious MVE virus after giving up with my previous HIV project..all the best to myself..dy boleh! and Malaysia boleh! =D

Just discovered a new thing- every single post in my blog contains the word ‘thank you’..uhmm..

  Last weekend I went to Sydney with Sha, Wahida, Ester & Isaac..The journey was so fantastic.. Having our car upgraded to Outlander- very unexpected. Sydney is a wonderful city, thanks to the nature scenery & wonderful development. We went to the Taronga Zoo (YEY, finally I am able to see kanggaroos & koalas), the Thai Taste (having our dahsyat meals), The Harbor Bridge (where we were almost lost!), the Opera House (the lights?excellent!),The Pancake On the Rock (guys, u should try them, the pancakes are sooooo good, u should go for Devil’s Dare The Paddy’s market (i can’t help myself from buying a lot of bananas & fresh veges) and finally Sydney Fish Market ( we bought 2 HUGE boxes of fish & prawns)..

The days were so enjoyful, thanks to Sha who did a very good driving job (although the car was auto-cruising, hahaha), the two map readers Ester & Isaac (ha, gaduh pulak)..hmm..me & wahida? we only spare the mouth to tease the others..dy-to be specific- was berangan all the journey.. i was thinking as if my fiance could be with us as well..i missed his smile, i missed his sense of humour, i missed his eyes, i missed almost everything about him..*sigh* now i missed Sydney..

Hey everyone! just a quick update here..Alhamdulillah, I managed to reach Canberra on 17th February 2007. After a  week stay, Faiz returned to Malaysia, leaving his fiance here, living all alone..isk.. but no worries.. I’m fine dear..

Azham, Ain & Julie, thanks for coming at the airport, not forgetting del, nat & wani as well..even x dtg tp aku tau korang mmg tak lupa kat aku! Everything is fine here, but of course, life will not always be a bed of roses..

For Nat, aku dpt amik gmbo sikit2 je jong,tu pun blur2 aje..tak dpt la nk jd reference hang..lgpn biasa2 aje jong..for Azham, ko mmg saje je nkgi kursus itu ini time kwn ko ni nk btunang!! =p Untuk kekawan yg lain, sorry kalau ada yg x diberitahu ttg majlis ni..segan sbenanye nk kecoh2..baru btunang aje..nnti bila ada next ceremony, insyaAllah kalian akan dijemput juga..ya ya?

I am counting days..plus minus ada lg 2 bulan before aku fly ke Canberra.. Finally I received the offer letter to Ph.D programme in John Curtin School Of Medical Research, The Australian National University…Alhamdulillah.. With all the effort, kena redah Kursus Kenegaraan BTN,sit for IELTS (Alhamdulillah I passed with overall score 7.0 =D), documentation and etc..Skrg tuunggu scholarship letter from KPM n visa…insyaAllah on 19th February 2007, I am leaving to Canberra for the most 3 years…

I am only given 6 months to find a place to further my study, either MPhil/PhD. Mmg stressfull..in 6mths, kena settlekan semua..find a SUPERB supervisor, find a foreign university (esp NZ,Aussie,Belgium,Findland n Germany), sit for IELTS and gi BTN course.. kalo x settle sume tu, maunye kena hambu dgn Toh Puan..huh..

Alhamdulillah, so far dah ada yg sudi nk accept aku..Dr Andrew Davison (Uni fo Glasgow), working on Herpesvirus esp HCMV..this fellow mmg bagus, byk publication, email pun cepat je respond..tapi sygnye KUSTEM ada kuota utk mhantar pegawai ke UK, pulak.. =( then aku cuba kat Aussie pulak..tak sangka first attempt dah dpt reply, Dr Mario Lobigs..dia ni adik beradik Datuk K agaknye..hahahah (u got what i mean?) mestilah tak..hahahaa.. so aku pn dgn pulunnye menulis proposal (so-called research overview).. tgklah next week ada meeting upon my application..if ada rezeki, I am off to Aussie early next year.. =D

On 7th Sept..for the very first time aku jd pensyarah pengiring ke Sekayu Waterfalls. Bwk +-100 students first year dgn final year..actually bukan gi suka2, they all ada field trip utk subject Ekologi lapangan n sampling for their final year research project..so aku as one of the academician in Biology Dept invited to accompany them to the waterfalls..

Sampai kat sana, aku sempat mkn roti canai dgn Kak Milah (Cik Jam) dgn student 3 org..huhu..roti canai di Kuala Berang, kecik sehh..kalau dulu aku makan dgn Faiz kat maple ke 14 ke, sampai x larat nk abeskan..ini? Alahai besarnyee lah roti…

Sampai chalet (nasib baik dok chalet kalo kena camping maunye meraung aku!), aku pun start memunggah beg aku…habes sume kuar..hahahah..aku rase tu dah minimun abes..ropenye banyak gile brg yg aku bwk!! =D sorg student (Shida) dok gelakkan aku.."Cik Dy ni tak penah gi field trip ye? Sampaikan iron pun Cik Dy bwk!" hahahaha..malunyee..biasalah aku..sape tak kenal Dy!

On that nite, aku ikut student gi sampling, masuk utan..takut sbenanye..tapi buat2 tak takut..nnti student lg takut tgk aku takut. brape kali aku tulis takut ni? Soknye, aku iktu sampling lg..aku conduct group yg buat soil microbiology..depa wat keje, aku plak sibuk klik klik tgkap gamba..cantik tmpat tu..dah lama aku takgi air terjun..years gaklah..last pun masa aku kat Kota Tinggi.. Lepas sampling, Kak Nurul n d gang (Rosemery beskotmeri, Kak Jah n Kak Aini) dtg nk picnic kat Sekayu..huhu..aku dengan gumbiranya menyambut kedtgn depa..ada mcm2 depa bwk..ada Bihun, nugget, poppia, ayam goreng, air oyen..sedappp..dah puas berendam dlm air, then makan2, then berendam lagi..huhuhu..to them, thanks for being such a good friends spj aku sampai kat Tganu ni..tak pernah rasa sunyi dgn adanye korang.. : )
